Two fresh reviews:

Despite hating the name and still not liking the singer’s voice all that much, Kim Skotte gives Zen Sucker a flattering review at Politiken - it’s a 4/6 rating. Funny that he claims he’s able to hear all 8 of us for the first time though, since - you know - we’re a 5-piece now ;-)

Fyens Stiftstidende’s Niels Nørgaard also has some kind words for Zen Sucker - again it’s 4/6.

Not many record shops in Denmark carry vinyl releases (dig the irony of that). If you’ve been out there looking but came home empty-handed do not despair.

This time at Scandinavian online music journal It’s a Trap. Lars Garvey Laing-Peterson says that L&FJ is - by far - one of the best bands he’s heard this year. “A naming of influences also does little with an act like Larsen & Furious Jane; the majority of the record is difficult to place in this way”, he writes about the album that he gives a 9/10 rating. “Far more satisfying sex” is a phrase that Maz Plechinger at Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten uses in his 5/6 review of Zen Sucker. Read it here.

Martin Thimes did a good piece about L&FJ at Danish music site undertoner.dk

Christian Erin-Madsen at Berlingske Tidende did an equally fine piece. You can read it here.

Also at Berlingske, Jeppe Krogsgaard gives Zen Sucker a 5-star review. Among other things he mentions a screaming ham and calls Zen Sucker a gift to the world that just keeps taking.

REMEMBER: Tonight we play Musikcafeen in Aarhus - this will be the last chance to catch us in our hometown until the fall. Since it’s a school night we play our set as early as 9 - so don’t be too fashionably late.

Our last show before the summerbreak will be at Studenterhuset in Copenhagen june 13th. Hope to see some of you there too.

Hung Over & Corrupted

Det elektriske Barometer interviewed singer boy and drummer boy at the Pop Revo festival. No, it’s not a tape running too slow you’re listening to - it’s two hung-over Pop Revo fans on the 2nd day of the festival.

Tomorrow night we’re playing Musikcafeen in Aarhus. Hope you’ll come out. We’ll be playing at 9 so we can all get a good night’s sleep! If you’re in the mood for more, though, american band Birds of Avalon will be performing as well - so you don’t have to go to bed early.
